- Remove any boulders, debris and weeds format he area and level with a lawn leveller or bobcat
- Use an organic top soil/sand/turf underlay mix, spread approximately a 100 to 150mm cover over area and rotary hoe not existing soil layer.
- Apply a starter fertiliser before laying.
Laying your Turf
- The first step in laying instant turf is to lay a border of turf all around the outside.
- Then find your longest run of straight ground and start here, working towards the outside edges in a brick like pattern.
- Butt all the edges an ends up close to eah other as you go, this will give you a smoother surface and help stop edges drying out.
- A light sanding between the edges of turn after laying will prevent them from drying out especially in temperatures over 30degrees.
- Once the entire area is covered is recommended that the turf is rolled level to achieve a flat appearance and encourage the turf to bed into the soil properly.
- Water thoroughly, keeping the root zone saturated for two weeks.
